Fresh out of the kiln

Gosh, it’s been a long summer this year. I have been itching to get back to making glass, but it’s just been too darn hot in the garage. I can’t use the kiln if the temperature is over 100F – it can damage the electronics – and there’s also a bunch of refrigerators in there, which don’t appreciate the extra heat. However, finally it’s cooled off a bit, and I have got going!

Here’s two new designs. The Cherry Blossom one uses two screen print layers; a color background and then the detail print over the top. This requires an extra firing, of course. Then there’s a nice big, bold square Fleur-de-Lys design for my 8″ square bowls. I didn’t have much to fit those, so I’m glad to be able to offer this now.

Look for more of these designs in the next few weeks as I make more items to sell at market. I’ll announce market dates once I have them!
