A few years ago, I bought some software to make sundials with, which I did, in glass. The software also generated Astrolabes, and as soon as I saw them, I knew I had to make one, although making one from glass was a bit impractical. I wanted to make an ancient instrument from modern materials.
Now I have the technology…. here it is, made from Baltic Birch and Acrylic!
